LHD, Tema, Takoradi and Onward to Kumasi

Two facts shape every truck import into Ghana: the country drives on the right, and imports arrive through two main ports.

• Left-hand drive. Ghana drives on the right, so it takes LHD trucks. Most Chinese trucks are built left-hand drive from the factory, which means no conversion is needed — a cost and time saving compared with RHD markets.
• Ports of Tema and Takoradi. Tema (near Accra) handles most general cargo and vehicles; Takoradi serves the Western Region and the mining belt. We quote CIF to whichever port suits your onward route.

Our Process: Inspect, Refurbish, Ship

Every truck we export to Ghana goes through a documented process before we quote a CIF price:

1. Inspection. Engine compression and oil pressure, gearbox, axles and diffs, brakes and air system, chassis and frame, cab, tyres, electrics. Units that fail minimum standards are rejected.
2. Refurbishment. Worn components repaired or replaced — engine mounts, hydraulic seals, brake liners, suspension bushes. Fluids renewed. Rust treated and repainted.
3. LHD as standard. Ghana takes left-hand-drive trucks, so no steering conversion is required — the factory LHD configuration ships as-is, saving cost and time.
4. Export & CIF shipment. We prepare all documents and ship CIF to Tema or Takoradi, with pre-shipment photos and video sent to you before the unit is loaded.

The result is a truck that has been independently checked, repaired to a defined standard, and shipped with clean paperwork ready for clearance and the run up to Kumasi or Accra.
