FAQ · Buying & Importing Used Chinese Trucks

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the questions buyers ask us most about buying second hand trucks for sale from China and shipping them CIF to ports across Africa and the Middle East. We have China trucks for sale across every body type, and unlike most used truck dealers we inspect and refurbish each unit before export. If your question is not covered below, message us on WhatsApp and we reply within 24 hours.

Buying Used Trucks From China, Answered

The questions below walk through the parts of an export order that matter most: how we price each unit, why we quote rather than publish fixed prices, the difference between right-hand and left-hand drive, which Chinese brands we stock, expected shipping times by region, and how payment works through T/T or L/C. We also cover refurbishment, documentation, and inland transit for landlocked destinations. To see what is currently available, browse our used trucks for sale, and when you are ready to talk specifics, contact us with your port and the models you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you quote prices, and why are there no fixed prices listed?

Prices move with the model, configuration, destination port, and shipping schedule, so a fixed figure on the site would be misleading. The price of a second hand truck also depends on its condition and how much refurbishment it needs. Tell us your port, the truck models you want, and the quantity, and we send a specific CIF quote covering the unit and freight to your port. See the current stock on our used trucks for sale page.

Do you supply right-hand drive (RHD) or left-hand drive (LHD) trucks?

Chinese trucks leave the factory as LHD. For RHD markets such as South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia we handle the conversion in-house. Markets like Nigeria, Ghana, and the Middle East use LHD as delivered. We explain the process in RHD vs LHD conversion.

Which Chinese truck brands do you sell?

We supply the main Chinese heavy-truck makes: HOWO/Sinotruk, SHACMAN, HOHAN, FAW, Foton, and Dongfeng. Browse the listings or tell us your application and we point you to the right model and brand.

Do you sell Japanese or European brands like Isuzu, Hino, or Scania?

No. We focus on Chinese brands and do not sell Isuzu, Hino, Fuso, or European and American makes such as Scania. We may reference those brands only for comparison so you can judge value against what you already know.

How long does shipping take?

Transit times vary by route: East Africa (Mombasa, Dar es Salaam) 20–35 days; West Africa (Apapa/Lagos, Tema) 25–40 days; Durban 20–30 days; Jebel Ali 15–25 days. We confirm the schedule for your port when we quote. More detail is in shipping trucks to East Africa.

What payment terms do you accept — T/T or L/C?

The common arrangement is a deposit with the balance against shipping documents, paid by staged T/T. For larger orders we can work with an L/C. We walk through both in our payment and L/C guide.

What is your minimum order — can I buy a single truck?

Yes. You can buy a single unit, and we also handle fleet and batch orders. We stay flexible on quantity, so order what your operation needs and we arrange shipping accordingly.

Are the trucks refurbished, and is there any warranty?

Yes. Every refurbished truck goes through mechanical and structural inspection, replacement of wear parts, a road test, and full servicing before export, so you receive quality used trucks rather than as-is units. We send photos and video before the unit is loaded into the container. See how we do it on our quality control page.

What documents do you provide for customs clearance?

Each shipment of trucks for export ships with the standard document set: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, and inspection certificate. We prepare these so your clearing agent has what is needed at the port.

Can you deliver to landlocked countries?

Yes. Buyers in Uganda usually clear through Mombasa, and Zambia through Dar es Salaam or Durban. We deliver CIF to the port, then help arrange the inland leg onward to your final destination.
