China Used Truck Exporter — Inspected, Refurbished, Shipped CIF to Your Port
Buying a used truck from China is one of the smartest moves a fleet operator in Africa or the Middle East can make — but only when the supplier is real, the truck is honestly described, and the paperwork is clean. Sigma Truck is a China-based used truck exporter with a physical yard, an in-house refurbishment workshop, and a documented process for getting inspected heavy trucks onto vessels bound for Mombasa, Durban, Lagos, Tema, Dar es Salaam, Jebel Ali, and Umm Qasr. Every truck we ship has been walked, photographed, mechanically checked, and cleared through Chinese customs before a single dollar leaves your account.

Who We Are — A Physical Yard, Not a Trading Desk
Sigma is not a broker. We are a truck supplier with our own yard in China where stock is held, assessed, and prepared. When you contact us, you are speaking directly to the people who own the trucks — not a middleman who will turn around and source from a third party after taking your deposit.
Our team includes mechanical inspectors, export documentation specialists, and logistics coordinators who have handled CIF shipments to more than 40 countries. We work with Chinese brands — HOWO, SHACMAN, Sinotruk, and HOHAN — because parts availability in Africa and the Middle East makes them the practical choice for operators who need to keep trucks moving between services. We also carry out left-hand drive to right-hand drive conversion in-house for markets such as South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania where RHD is a legal requirement.
If you have been burned by a fake supplier or received a truck that did not match the photos, you already understand why the question of who you are dealing with matters more than the price. This page explains exactly how we work and how you can verify us before committing.
Our Inspection and Refurbishment Process
Every truck that enters our yard goes through a structured assessment before it is listed for sale. We check the engine, gearbox, axles, brakes, frame, cab, and electrical system. Mileage is read from the dashboard and noted in the inspection record — we do not alter odometers or hide known faults behind fresh paint.
Where refurbishment is needed, we carry it out in our own workshop using genuine or OEM-compatible parts. Typical work includes engine oil and filter service, brake pad and shoe replacement, tyre condition assessment, cab repair, and repainting where rust or collision damage is present. We document what was done and can share the refurbishment record with buyers on request.
After refurbishment, trucks are photographed in full — exterior all four sides, interior cab, engine bay open, tyre tread, chassis underside where accessible, and any noted defects. We also shoot short video walkarounds so you can hear the engine running and see the truck move under its own power. You will see the actual truck, not a stock image, before you pay.
Third-party pre-shipment inspection is welcome. If your bank, insurance provider, or company policy requires an independent inspector to attend our yard before payment, we will accommodate that — we have worked with several inspection agencies and have no objection to independent verification.
How We De-Risk Buying From a Chinese Truck Dealer
The single biggest fear when buying from a chinese truck dealer overseas is sending money and receiving nothing, or receiving a truck that bears no resemblance to what was agreed. Here is how Sigma addresses each risk point concretely.
- Photos and video before payment. We send a full photo set and a video walkaround of your specific truck. You confirm you are happy before any payment is requested.
- Staged payment terms. We do not require 100% payment upfront. Typical terms involve a deposit to hold the truck and the balance against the Bill of Lading copy — the document that proves the truck is on a vessel headed to your port. We will explain the exact payment schedule for your order before you commit.
- Real export documentation. Every shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading, and Chinese customs export declaration. We can provide copies of completed export docs from past shipments so you can see the format and confirm they are genuine.
- Clear CIF terms. CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) means the price we quote covers the truck, marine insurance, and freight to your named port. There are no surprise shipping costs after you agree the price — you know exactly what you are paying before signing.
- Third-party inspection welcome. If you want an independent inspector at our yard before we load the truck, arrange it. We will cooperate fully.
- Video call verification. We are happy to conduct a live video call from the yard so you can see the truck in real time and ask questions directly. We can show serial numbers, chassis plates, and engine markings on camera.
We are not going to claim every transaction has been without complication — international shipping involves customs, ports, and logistics chains that are outside any exporter's full control. What we can tell you is that when problems have occurred, we have worked through them with buyers rather than disappearing. References from previous buyers in Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, and the UAE are available on request.
Brands and Truck Types We Export
Our stock covers the heavy truck categories most in demand across African and Middle Eastern markets. Browse our full used trucks for sale listing or go directly to a category below.
HOWO trucks — Sinotruk's HOWO range is the most widely distributed Chinese heavy truck in Africa and one of the easiest to source parts for in Nairobi, Johannesburg, Lagos, and Kampala. We carry HOWO tractor heads, tipper trucks, cargo trucks, and mixer trucks across multiple axle configurations.
SHACMAN trucks — popular in East Africa and the Middle East for their relatively simple mechanicals and good parts network. We stock SHACMAN tractor units and tippers regularly.
Sinotruk HOHAN — a value-premium platform used for long-haul haulage and demanding road conditions, sharing the WD615 engine with HOWO for parts commonality.
Our most enquired-about categories are dump trucks for construction and mining work, and tractor-trailer units for long-haul haulage. We carry both. If you are looking for a specific axle load rating, body type, or engine displacement, contact us with the specification and we will check current yard stock and what is available through our sourcing network.
We do not sell Isuzu, Hino, Fuso, or European brands. If a buyer specifically needs Japanese or European trucks, we will say so honestly rather than try to substitute. Our focus is Chinese brands, and that focus means we know the stock, the specs, and the parts situation better than a general trader who handles everything.
Markets and Ports We Serve
As a used truck exporter based in China, we ship CIF to the following ports regularly. If your port is not listed, ask — we have handled one-off shipments to ports outside our usual lanes.
- East Africa: Mombasa (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania, Zambia, DRC), Djibouti (Ethiopia)
- West Africa: Lagos/Apapa (Nigeria), Tema (Ghana, Burkina Faso), Lomé (Togo, landlocked neighbours)
- Southern Africa: Durban (South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia), Beira (Mozambique, Zimbabwe)
- Middle East: Jebel Ali (UAE, re-export hub for the region), Umm Qasr (Iraq), Salalah (Oman)
For buyers in South Africa, we handle RHD conversion in-house and are familiar with NRCS requirements for importing used vehicles. Browse our dedicated trucks for sale in South Africa page for stock that has been prepared for that market.
Shipping lead times from our yard to African ports typically run 25–40 days depending on vessel schedules and port of destination. Middle East ports are generally faster at 18–28 days. We provide an estimated sailing schedule when we confirm your order and send you the Bill of Lading copy as soon as the vessel departs.
How to Verify Us and How to Enquire
We understand that verifying a used truck exporter before sending money overseas is not always straightforward. Here is what we suggest.
Ask for references. We will put you in contact with buyers from your region who have received trucks from us. We prefer to give you contacts from your own country or market so the conversation is in a language and context you trust.
Request past shipping documents. We can share redacted copies of Bills of Lading and customs export declarations from completed shipments. These are commercial documents and there is no reason for a legitimate exporter to refuse to show them.
Use a freight forwarder you already trust. If you have an existing relationship with a freight forwarder in China or in your home country, involve them. They can verify the vessel booking, review the shipping documents, and give you an independent read on whether the logistics are genuine.
Book a third-party inspection. Several international inspection agencies operate in China and can visit our yard on your behalf. The cost is typically borne by the buyer and is money well spent on a high-value purchase.
To enquire about a specific truck or to get a CIF quote to your port, use the contact form on this page or send a WhatsApp message directly to our export team. Tell us the truck type you need (tractor head, tipper, cargo), the engine size or load rating if you have a preference, the destination port, and whether you need LHD or RHD. We will come back with available stock and pricing within one working day.
If you are new to importing from China and want to understand the process before committing, read our dump truck buying guide — it walks through the full import process from enquiry to customs clearance at your port.
